Agreements on economic cooperation and cultural exchange

In 1984, several agreements were signed between Guyana and China, deepening their cooperation in economic and cultural fields. The agreements included provisions for joint economic projects and the transformation of a textile mill built with Chinese assistance.

Additionally, a cultural agreement was established, promoting exchanges in education, health, and sports. For instance, Chinese sports teams and coaches visited Guyana, and Guyanese students participated in educational programs in China.
